Feeney’s manufacturing facility in Nebraska features a state-of-the-art powder coating line that emits no V.O.C.s or heavy metal waste, uses a non-chromium pre-treatment wash, and reclaims 93% of the waste water via a reverse-osmosis membrane filtration system.
While most companies import their railings already painted, DesignRail® is assembled in-house and powder coated by hand with chemically-balanced, high-performance powders.

Regular evaluations of each powder color are performed to maintain the right chemical balance, and make adjustments as needed to see that they stand up to our strict standards.
Special instruments are used to measure the thickness of the powder over the aluminum, both before and after the railing goes through the cure oven.
